The war had been over for as long as it had been waged. For centuries, The Dark, only mentioned as myth, had been vanquished by the legendary band of heroes from the land of Fort Worthy. The songs that were written about the battles were long forgotten. There had been peace for centuries, and therefore, no longer a need for armies.

Unfortunately, as a nightmare long forgotten should be seen as evidence of righteous vigilance, it merely served as triage.

Only in forgetting the wicked Dark, did it regain strength. Slowly but steadily the Dark was growing, ever patient for it's moment to return. With no military might to hold off the forces of the Dark, the New Realm was sure to fall.

Who could possibly hope to face such a terrible power?
