As our heroes make their way back to the town of Chillamundo, they see it. A blast of brilliant light from the mountain known as The Temple.

Meegaan is positive that her sister is up there. She knows not how or why, but she makes way for the base of the mountain.

The boys, however, are unsure. They were still broke and this girl had led them on a wild goose chase. Ranger had enough. He would return to the Inn to rest and wait for another adventure (one that pays).

Jon and Ian, reluctantly follow Meegan.

The climb is not easy. It takes days and nights to make their way up the cold rocky terrain. With little food and water to aid them, they become weaker by the hour. Ian and Jon discuss turning back, but decide to continue in hopes of finding shelter.

Another day goes by and they finally approach a shallow cave in the mountain. Once inside they see a jug of water and a basket of fish next to an abandoned fire pit. They were both horrified and relieved to see a skeleton against the wall. It didn't matter how old the fish or water was. They were desperate. The three drank the water and ate the food. They quickly fell asleep.

The rest was short as Meegan awoke to see Jon and Ian being held up by a man with his bow and arrow at the ready.

"I see you met Friedman" the man said nodding to the skeleton. "He was supposed to keep guard over MY food, but he's too dumb to know what belongs to who."

"Sounds like a real bonehead" said Ian

*THWACK*

The arrow went straight into Ian's heart and he dropped dead.

"Next person that speaks gets an arrow to the neck!" shouted the man.

"No bones about it?" said a voice from outside the cave.

*THUNK*

A blade is slammed deep into the skull of the Man. He slumps over to see Ranger standing behind.
